Corfu Tourist was established by an English visitor named Peter Bowley, who noticed the need for more detailed information and online maps to assist in exploring the island. In 2018, with the support of local business owners, Corfu's first free tourist guide app was launched on iOS and Android. In 2019, Peter received an award from the Corfu Municipality for his achievement and for the promotion of the island. Five years later, a hybrid version of the app was launched as the 'Corfu Travel Guide', now available as a free offline app. The app offers over 4000 pins categorised in easy-to-manage areas such as beaches, sightseeing, local bus routes with timetables, and much more. It has become a trusted multilingual information hub in the palm of your hand, useful for both tourists and locals.
